Got 2 Minutes? Make These Changes

Got 2 Minutes? Make These Changes

Save Water: Turn off the water when you brush your teeth (saves 3 gallons per day) and shorten your showers by one or two minutes (saves 5 gallons per day).

Ditch the Packaging: Individually packaged snacks might be convenient, but they’re a waste of materials.  Like crackers? Buy a family sized box and take them on the go with reusable containers.

Make a List: Everyone is different, and it makes sense that the world saving tips that work best for me might not work best for my neighbor, my mother, or my boss.  Find what works for you by taking a few minutes to map out your day and identify areas that could use some improvement.

Going grocery shopping tomorrow? Plan to pick up a reusable shopping bag on your way, or even at the store itself (most large grocery stores now sell their own reusable bags for $0.99 or less).  Going out to dinner after work?  Carpool with a friend.  Want to unwind with a cocktail? Try an organic wine and do so by candlelight!

Whichever tip you try, whether it’s one of these or one of your own, share it!  You never know who you’ll inspire with your creativity.
